Office Depot France Leverages Blue Yonder’s Floor and Space Planning Solutions for Centralized Store Management

Office Depot France, a leading European office-products retailer with 56 stores and more than 9,000 SKUs sold across direct mail, B2B, retail and web channels, faced a fragmented, Excel-based planogram process. Creating and comparing store-specific planograms was slow (up to two hours per comparison), error-prone and disconnected from floor planning data, making range reviews, local assortment updates and efficient inventory allocation difficult.

The retailer implemented JDA Space Planning, JDA Floor Planning and JDA Space Automation (deployed with Cube Solutions), giving planners a centralized, drag-and-drop, 3D-enabled system and automated planogram updates across all stores. The change cut planogram comparison time from two hours to one minute, saved two weeks a year on new-range planograms, reclaimed three hours weekly on in-store labeling, and improved forecasting, inventory optimization, operational efficiency and profitability.
