A Blue Yonder Case Study
Knauf, a global construction materials leader founded in 1932 with more than 41,000 employees, 300 plants across 92 countries and annual revenue above €15 billion, set out under its Knauf100 strategy to digitally transform customer interactions and its supply chain. The company needed to modernize sales and operations planning—moving away from manual processes—to improve forecast accuracy, speed up demand planning and order fulfillment, and increase customer reliability across its global footprint.
Knauf implemented Blue Yonder’s Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Order Promiser solutions (with Accenture support) to deliver SKU-level forecasts, streamlined supply processes and predictive availability insights. The transformation boosted forecast accuracy, reduced working capital, enhanced production scheduling and raised customer reliability—achieving about 95% order accuracy—and is progressing toward AI-enabled Cognitive Demand Planning for broader end-to-end digital supply chain capabilities.
