Würth International, the centralized purchasing and distribution arm of the €7.52 billion Würth Group, supplies over 100,000 fastening and assembly products to subsidiaries, trade customers and roughly 1,000 stores worldwide. Facing limited demand visibility across its European warehouses and suppliers, the company struggled with the “bullwhip” effect, stock shortages and delayed replenishment and sought a solution to automate replenishment and improve insight into customer demand.

Würth selected JDA Demand and JDA Fulfillment, piloted the solutions in France and integrated them with its ERP, then rolled them out to central warehouses in Switzerland and Slovakia and beyond. The implementation delivered a c.30% inventory reduction, increased inventory turns from 7.4 to 10, boosted productivity by ~20%, maintained customer service at 98.5% and improved demand visibility, supplier collaboration, replenishment speed (regular 24‑hour shipments) and purchasing efficiency.
