Compañía Cervecerías Unidas S.A. (CCU), Chile’s largest brewery, needed to optimize operations at its Curauma distribution center—which fulfills about 70% of its 115,000 customer orders—while preparing for a projected 30% increase in order volume. The challenge was to absorb that growth without adding space or headcount, gain single-platform control over all warehouse functions, and improve delivery speed and customer service.

Working with partner STG Chile, CCU implemented Blue Yonder’s warehouse management solution to centralize reception, warehousing, picking and dispatch. The system enabled full operational control and visibility, letting CCU handle the 30% order increase with existing resources, reach a 95% DC utilization rate, optimize people and processes, and begin rolling the solution out to other facilities.
