Bel Group, maker of brands like The Laughing Cow and Babybel, expanded from its European roots to sell some 30,000 SKUs in 120 countries with production sites worldwide. That global growth created major logistics challenges—highly perishable products, widely variable transport times (from one day to three months), decentralized planning and limited visibility—so the company needed a more reactive, flexible supply chain solution.

Bel implemented JDA Demand and JDA Fulfillment to centralize planning and run an 18‑month S&OP process with constraint‑based production and transportation planning. The tools now cover roughly 98% of global demand and 95% of production, giving better capacity visibility, reducing perishability markdowns, increasing planner productivity, and enabling ongoing process and technology improvements.
