Avon, the world’s leading direct seller of beauty products operating in 143 countries through 4.8 million representatives, faced a complex, promotions-driven supply chain with wide product and channel variation. Rapid expansion in EMEA exposed a lack of centralized demand, inventory and supply planning, while manual, inflexible production planning at three factories struggled to support 50,000 daily orders and planned growth into new markets.
Avon deployed JDA’s planning and fulfillment solutions across 29 EMEA markets (implemented in four months) to centralize planning, improve forecasting and give end-to-end supply chain visibility. The project streamlined order processing, reduced cost-to-serve and enabled expansion—raising customer service to 99.5%, cutting inventory 17% in six months and delivering $20 million in savings.
