Advance Auto Parts, a leading automotive aftermarket retailer with more than 3,900 U.S. stores, faced mounting pressure to deliver parts immediately as its business shifted toward commercial “do-it-for-me” customers. The company needed greater SKU breadth in stores and much faster replenishment to improve product availability, reduce lost sales and meet customer expectations for same-day service.

Advance partnered with JDA, adding replenishment, warehouse, labor, space and transportation solutions and building a new 550,000 sq. ft. distribution center to support a daily replenishment model. The program increased SKU breadth in rollout stores by 20%, cut replenishment cycle time by at least 50%, decreased stock-outs, drove store sales growth and improved throughput and labor efficiency across the supply chain.
