Retailer CRV increases shopper intelligence with Blue Yonder

CR Vanguard (CRV), one of China’s largest retailers with more than 3,240 stores, needed a better way to coordinate planning and merchandising across multiple store formats while coping with demand volatility and local shopper preferences. Its manual, disconnected processes made forecasting inaccurate and limited its ability to stay customer-centric, so CRV partnered with Blue Yonder for category management and supply chain planning.

Blue Yonder implemented category management, demand, fulfillment, and replenishment solutions to create a connected, closed-loop planning process. The result was more accurate forecasting with minimal human intervention, faster replenishment, better localization of products, reduced inventory and out-of-stocks, and increased store sales; CRV also improved visibility across the supply chain and better aligned inventory to local demand.
