BLUE Streamlines Artwork Management for Unilever On a Global Scale

Since 2003 BLUE has partnered with Unilever to deliver a customized SaaS packaging artwork management solution, initially in North America and now used by more than 12,000 users across 80 countries. Unilever — with 400+ brands and products chosen 160 million times daily — faced fragmented legacy processes that risked inconsistent packaging, slower speed to market and quality issues; its objectives included harmonized global workflows, clear task ownership and robust KPI reporting.

BLUE performed a detailed workflow analysis and deployed a configurable, enterprise-wide workflow and Digital Asset Manager with KPI reporting (right‑first‑time rates, cycle times, rework reasons) to identify bottlenecks and enable continuous improvement. The global system now manages over 60,000 artworks annually and has delivered faster time-to-market, stronger brand consistency and protection of brand equity, reduced artwork and production costs, and improved accountability.
