Rutherford Controls International (RCI) is a supplier of electric locks, door hardware and access-control products for the architectural, locksmith and security markets. Facing projected rapid growth in 1998, RCI struggled with multiple disparate systems and manual workarounds that supported unique business processes. They needed a scalable, flexible distribution and wholesale management solution that could consolidate data, reduce human intervention and adapt as their processes evolved.

RCI implemented Blue Link ERP, working with a consultant to map processes, apply minor customizations and migrate historical data using a bespoke conversion tool — going live within two months. The consolidated system supported RCI’s growth targets, allowed ongoing custom projects and two version upgrades incorporating their PerfectFit customizations at modest cost, with Blue Link becoming a long-term technology partner.
