Retail Ready Foods Inc., founded in 1996, is an Ontario-based distributor of fresh and processed meat products serving independent retailers, managing over 3,000 SKUs (about 500 active at a time) and shipping from multiple third‑party warehouses. The company relied on a fragile, DOS‑based in‑house system (ACCPAC) maintained by a single employee, which made reporting, multi‑unit inventory tracking (cases vs. weight), EDI warehouse exchanges and promotional pricing difficult and risky as the business grew.

RRF selected and implemented Blue Link ERP, working with consultants to customize and integrate their legacy processes into one Windows‑based system over 12 months. The new solution streamlined sales and reporting, improved inventory and invoicing accuracy (including virtual and multi‑warehouse handling), reduced administrative delays, removed the single‑point‑of‑failure risk, and improved receivables and cash‑flow control—with an upgrade path to reduce customizations further.
