GSI Westwind, a manufacturer of air bearing spindles, faced the challenge of consolidating three IT sites into one central location. They needed to reassess their IT delivery to reduce operating costs and their carbon footprint. They selected vendor Blue Chip to implement a solution using Citrix XenApp technology.

Blue Chip implemented a full Citrix XenApp server farm that delivers a published desktop to all users. This solution provided GSI Westwind with significantly reduced ongoing support and power costs, a smaller carbon footprint through the use of thin clients, and increased user productivity. The project was so successful that its use is being evaluated for the company's overseas sites.
