Blue Chip implemented a solution leveraging technologies from vendors like VMware, EMC, Cisco, and Microsoft, with a core component being an F5 Local and Global Traffic Manager cluster for high-availability load balancing. This created an "Active/Active" datacentre solution ensuring 100% uptime. The results were significant, with website sales growing from over £200 million to £1.25 billion after deployment. The project also delivered substantial cost savings and earned Blue Chip an award, providing Dart Group with a stable, resilient IT foundation for future growth.
