Case Study: Bond International achieves resilient infrastructure and disaster recovery with Blue Chip

A Blue Chip Case Study

Preview of the Bond International Case Study

Bond International - Customer Case Study

Bond International, the UK's only independent wholesale tyre distributor, faced an IT infrastructure challenge with its aging IBM AIX hardware reaching critical capacity and a need for a robust business continuity and disaster recovery plan. They engaged IT services provider Blue Chip to manage a complete infrastructure refresh and implement a new disaster recovery strategy.

Blue Chip implemented a solution using new HP servers with increased RAM and an EMC VNX Hybrid Storage system. For disaster recovery, Blue Chip deployed its Virtual Machine Continuity Service (VMCS), creating a full replica of the on-premise environment in its cloud. This provided an enterprise-class disaster recovery capability, eliminated a single point of failure, and reduced overhead costs. Bond International gained a modern, scalable infrastructure with a tested recovery plan, ensuring business continuity and providing peace of mind that their data is protected.
