UnitedHealthcare drives 14.7% incremental store walk-in lift with Blue Bite

UnitedHealthcare, a major health insurance provider, faced the challenge of measuring the effectiveness of its out-of-home (OOH) advertising campaign that used multiple creative messages to target various Walgreens store locations. They needed to understand if their ads, which were placed on traditional OOH formats like bulletins and posters, were actually driving customers into stores.

The vendor Blue Bite implemented a solution using hyperlocal geofencing to target the selected locations and measure store walk-in footfall attribution. By activating precise GPS targeting around Walgreens stores and OOH placements, Blue Bite served mobile ads to nearby consumers and then used privacy-safe attribution to measure subsequent store visits. This approach by Blue Bite resulted in a 14.7% incremental lift in store walk-ins, successfully quantifying the campaign's impact on in-store visitation.
