Staple Pigeon wanted a fresh way to tell Jeff Staple’s 20‑year brand story and deepen fan engagement in the lifestyle and footwear space. Working with Blue Bite, Staple Pigeon used NFC/QR technology embedded in a branded pigeon keychain to create a physical digital touchpoint that could unlock location-based content and experiences for fans.

Blue Bite built a progressive interactive scavenger hunt that led fans to 19 meaningful New York locations, where the NFC-enabled keychain unlocked stories, prizes for every five pins, and a grand prize for completing all stops (including the original Nike SB Pigeon Dunks and a tour of Staple’s office). The campaign drove real-world participation and direct interaction between Jeff and his audience, delivered measurable engagement through 19 activations and tiered rewards, and even provided Early Bird Access to future product drops—demonstrating Blue Bite’s ability to create ongoing, trackable fan experiences.
