Redken, a leading professional haircare brand, needed to deepen personal connections with consumers across salons, packaging and at-home use. To solve this, Redken partnered with Blue Bite to deliver NFC- and QR-based digital experiences (built and managed via the Blue Bite Studio and Dashboard) that personalize product recommendations, instructions and content.
Blue Bite implemented NFC tags on salon wireless chargers and QR codes on product packaging to launch contextual flows that ask about visit intent (color, highlights or gloss) and deliver a “Personalized Prescription,” step-by-step usage guidance, videos and complementary product CTAs; Redken’s in‑house team maintains the experiences in the Blue Bite Dashboard. The program drove strong engagement — a 40% activation rate in salons and an average session length of 3:34 minutes — while reducing printed materials and simplifying packaging.
