Seasalt Cornwall faced growing surplus stock in its retail stores that wasn’t visible or sellable online, limiting buyer reach and depressing selling prices as the brand expanded. To address this, blubolt worked to bring in-store stock into the eCommerce channel by integrating COM (Customer Order Management), a third-party fulfilment system from ITIM, so store inventory could be offered to online customers when warehouse stock was sold out.

blubolt implemented the COM integration and updated site design, data feeds, APIs and functional flows (shipping messaging, delivery options and order tracking) to allow individual stores to pick, pack and despatch online orders. The change drove immediate impact — over 2,000 orders via the COM functionality in the first three days — enabling Seasalt Cornwall to reduce internal transfers, increase full-price and sale revenue, and maximise margins by making more stock available online.
