How Cedar Fair Scaled an Immersive Mobile Experience

Cedar Fair, one of the world’s largest amusement-resort operators (26 million guests across 11 parks), found its digital presence wasn’t matching the immersive experiences guests enjoyed in the parks. The team identified a content and context problem: they needed to deliver the right, personalized information to guests wherever and whenever they chose to engage—across multiple park brands—with a lean development and content team.

Working with BloomReach Experience and partner Authentic, Cedar Fair built a single unified customer profile and connected CMS tied to CRM and transactional systems, enabling responsive sites, reusable templates, dynamic content targeting, and built-in A/B testing. The rollout delivered 11 redesigned park websites in four months and eight connected mobile apps (with beacons and geofencing), increased mobile traffic, real-time targeted offers, and a test-and-learn culture for continual personalization and optimization.
