Fairphone, the Dutch sustainable electronics maker, wanted to reduce churn after launching the Fairphone (Gen. 6) and reassure owners of older models that their devices were still worth keeping. Working with Bloomreach, Fairphone used Loomi AI and Email Marketing to create a retention campaign that encouraged spare parts and accessory purchases while also building a newsletter audience.
Bloomreach implemented a 19-day, multi-channel campaign with 20% discounts, personal voucher codes, sticky website banners, and a two-step newsletter opt-in funnel. The results were strong: Fairphone generated 33.5% more revenue than the previous period, achieved a 31.7% conversion rate through the newsletter funnel, and converted 9.72% of landing page visitors into subscribers, with 72% of sign-ups coming from the spare parts page banner.
