AllModern.com, launched in 2006 to make modern design more accessible, sells a massive assortment—4.5 million products from 5,000 suppliers that multiply into well over a billion unique product variants. That long tail made discoverability a major challenge: natural search drives a significant portion of traffic, but the variety of ways customers describe products meant many items weren’t being found, and prior search tools failed to deliver measurable results.

In a 90-day pilot the site saw a material increase in incremental visits that translated into higher revenue and profit, a bigger share of natural-search traffic from uncommon phrases, and a decision to expand BloomReach across other Wayfair sites.
