My Jewellery, a Netherlands-based clothing and jewellery retailer, faced the challenge of collecting useful customer data while respecting GDPR and consumer privacy. To solve this, My Jewellery worked with Bloomreach Engagement, using its Customer Data & Experience Platform and marketing automation capabilities to build a privacy-first zero party data approach via a “style profile test.”
Bloomreach Engagement implemented the interactive style profile test—customers like or dislike sequential items, provide an email, and receive a personalized style profile—then used that zero party data to power on-site recommendations, email campaigns, and paid ads. The campaign boosted customer satisfaction, helped inform purchasing decisions, and produced measurable results: emails personalized with style profile data saw roughly a 20% higher open rate, and the initiative earned industry recognition.
