A Bloomerang Case Study
City of Good, a nonprofit founded in 2020 to respond to food insecurity and support displaced restaurant workers, needed a better way to manage supporters as it grew from a crisis-response effort into a long-term organization. Before using Bloomerang, the team relied on spreadsheets and scattered data, which made it hard to track donor and volunteer engagement, communicate consistently, and improve donor retention.
With Bloomerang’s Giving Platform and Volunteer tools, City of Good centralized donor and volunteer management, created segmented communications and donation forms, and improved reporting and acknowledgment workflows. As a result, annual budgeted revenue grew tenfold to $2.1 million, donor retention increased from 10% to 45%, and the organization now manages more than 250 active volunteers—helping City of Good scale its mission with stronger, more lasting relationships.
