A Bloomerang Fundraising Case Study
The Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) Foundation, founded in 1993 to support families, raise awareness, and fund research on prion diseases, runs a large peer-to-peer event called Strides for CJD across multiple cities. Their previous fundraising provider’s complicated tools and slow customer support made it difficult for families to accept and record donations, costing the organization at least one fundraising site and limiting volunteers’ ability to fundraise effectively.
After switching to Qgiv’s peer-to-peer forms, the Foundation gained a simple, self-service platform and responsive customer support. In their first Strides event using Qgiv they raised more than $340,000—170% of a $200,000 goal—with 241 participants; that year they raised over $379,000 across 3,500+ transactions, and to date have raised more than $500,000 using Qgiv’s tools to support families and research.
