Pensacola Humane Society, a no‑kill shelter founded in 1943 that adopts out about 1,100 animals a year, was struggling with an outdated, labor‑intensive donor system and a Paws on Palafox 3K that had lost momentum. Staff turnover left peer‑to‑peer tools underused, and the team needed a more user‑friendly way to run events, track donations, and engage supporters.
By working with Qgiv’s Customer Experience team, using peer‑to‑peer tools, email campaigns, social promotion, incentives, and a Bloomerang integration, PHS revitalized its event and reporting. The 2018 walk grew to 58 teams and 566 walkers and raised over $44,000—$20,000 more than 2017—with top team and individual fundraising up 183% and 178% respectively, while streamlined reporting and CRM integration improved donor management.
