A Bloomerang Fundraising Case Study
Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas is a regional arm of the national JA network that reaches over 327,000 students with work‑readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial‑literacy programs. The organization relied heavily on its annual bowl‑a‑thon for more than half its revenue, but its 2016 fundraising platform (Intelis) made peer‑to‑peer giving difficult and risked shortfalls that could force program cuts; the bowl‑a‑thon raised $377,458 that year.
After switching to Qgiv’s peer‑to‑peer tools, JA‑SETX created unlimited, personalized donation pages for each corporate partner, simplified giving for participants, and gained easier reporting. Results were dramatic: $918,657 raised online in 2017 (a 143.4% increase over 2016) and $1,170,135 in 2018 (a further 27.4% increase), enabling sustained program growth and plans to add sub‑events and auction tools.
