Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (GPCFB) faced a pressing challenge at the start of 2020: an unintuitive online fundraising platform that required manual CRM syncing and hindered text fundraising, peer-to-peer events, and monthly giving. As the pandemic drove unprecedented need and media attention, GPCFB needed a more efficient, integrated solution to scale donor engagement and reporting quickly.
By switching to Qgiv (integrated with DonorPerfect) and working with agency One&All, GPCFB launched optimized donation forms, peer-to-peer campaigns, mobile text giving, and automated data exports that saved staff roughly 4 hours per week. The results were dramatic: two telethons raised about $1M, employee campaigns brought in $7M+, text donations topped $100K, recurring donors grew from ~800 to over 2,000, and the food bank raised more than $27M in the fiscal year—well above their $11M goal.
