Florida Church Brings Digital Giving Solution to its Congregation to Stabilize and Increase Donations

RidgePoint Church, a non‑denominational congregation in Winter Haven, Florida with roughly 800 members and an average age of 29, relied heavily on traditional “pass the plate” donations but found many members didn’t carry cash or checks. By 2011 only 33% of members used the church’s online portal, leaving leadership seeking a modern, easy-to-use giving option to stabilize and increase regular contributions.

RidgePoint partnered with Qgiv to add an in‑service digital giving kiosk, enhance its online portal, and run an education and promotion campaign. Within months digital giving rose from 33% to 55% in 2012 (48% online, 7% kiosk), topped 80% on a single Sunday in January 2013, and weekly giving grew from about $1,420 in 2011 to $2,280 in 2012 — later increasing to $2,728 after the campaign; the platform also expanded remote fundraising and the church is piloting text giving.
