Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Denver Increases Online Giving by Switching from PayPal to Qgiv

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver, a nonprofit serving thousands through women’s services, family and child care, and housing, had a small resource development team that relied on manual entry and a basic PayPal form for donations. The team needed an easier, more feature-rich online giving solution to support varied fundraising methods and reduce administrative burden.

After switching to Qgiv (and using its Hobnob social fundraising platform for events), the agency saved staff time and saw rapid growth in online giving: more than $1,158,000 raised online in 2014, a 14.4% increase in Jan–May online donations from 2014 to 2015, a 102% rise in recurring gifts (now >30% of monthly online donations), and Ride the Rockies fundraising that grew from about $20,000 in 2013 to $115,000 in 2015 (roughly a 500% increase).
