Brother Wolf Animal Rescue Raises $5,000 by Believing in Puppy Love

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, founded in 2007, saves thousands of companion animals each year in Western North Carolina through adoptions, low-cost spay/neuter services, transfers, and volunteer networks. Their beloved annual “Puppygrams” fundraiser—15-minute puppy cuddle sessions with package add-ons—could not run as an in-person event during the pandemic, threatening a key source of donor support.

Working with Qgiv, Brother Wolf launched a custom donation form that used a dedication feature to send “furry Valentines” (recipient name, email, and personal message), conditional receipts to deliver the correct image/message, and optional VIP in-person cuddles and video packages. The virtual approach raised almost $5,000, increased total Puppygrams by 20, matched prior revenue with much lower overhead and fewer volunteer demands, and will remain a permanent, low-cost option going forward.
