A Bloomerang Fundraising Case Study
The Brigance Brigade Foundation, founded by former NFL player O.J. Brigance and his wife Chanda after his ALS diagnosis, supports people and families affected by ALS. For their annual 5.7K Championship Race they struggled with a clunky two-step sign-up that forced registrants to use separate sites to register and to fundraise, costing them potential fundraisers and donors and prompting a search for an affordable, integrated solution.
They chose Qgiv’s peer-to-peer platform for its low upfront cost, integrated event registration and fundraiser signup, GiftAssist fee-offset option, and mobile-friendly, customizable forms. The result: 249 individual fundraisers, 50 teams, 1,223 donations, and $200,000 raised at the event — $120,309.23 of which was processed through Qgiv — with 30% of donors using GiftAssist to save the foundation $921.56 in fees; the foundation now uses Qgiv year-round.
