A Bloomerang Fundraising Case Study
The Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii, which has grown since 1976 to nine clubs serving 15,000 young people, needed a more engaging, team-focused fundraising platform. Limited staff capacity and an underperforming provider left the development team hesitant to switch platforms close to events because of time and learning-curve concerns.
After evaluating options, BGCH adopted Qgiv’s peer-to-peer tools and gamification badges to make fundraising easier and more fun. The change delivered a 100% year-over-year increase for their Great Futures Day campaign (from $100K in 2017 to $200K in 2018 and over $250K in 2019) and helped the organization raise $275,000 in 2021—139% of their goal.
