American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) Raises $84,000 in Twelve Hours with the Help of Qgiv

American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) is a volunteer nonprofit that coordinates the logistics of delivering relief supplies to disaster-affected areas. At the 2015 Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals conference, ALAN’s Kathy Fulton was challenged by Amazon’s SVP Dave Clark to raise $25,000 in 24 hours — a sudden, time‑sensitive fundraising opportunity at an event where many donors don’t carry checks or cash.

Because Fulton had a responsive donation page, a text-giving keyword, and Qgiv’s mobile donation tools on hand, she was able to accept gifts immediately from attendees’ phones and her own device. The team exceeded the $25,000 goal by 10:00 p.m., Amazon matched the amount, ALAN ultimately raised nearly $84,000 in 12 hours, and Qgiv processed about $13,000 of those donations.
