Alpha Grand Rapids’ Walk for Life Event Reaches 122% of Fundraising Goal Using Qgiv’s Tools

Alpha Grand Rapids is a Grand Rapids, Michigan pregnancy center serving clients since 1985 with services like free pregnancy and STD testing, ultrasounds, parenting and ESL classes, mentoring, and a client store. Their annual Walk for Life fundraiser struggled because their previous fundraising platform made online giving difficult, lacked branding and mobile support, and required manual processing that led to cash/check donations and unfulfilled pledges.

After switching to Qgiv, Alpha Grand Rapids used customizable donation forms, a mobile-optimized event site, and email/text outreach plus hands-on support from a Customer Success Manager. The result: online fundraising jumped from 25% to nearly 99% of funds raised online, the 2019 Walk for Life drew 325 attendees and raised $61,143.18 — 122% of their goal — and the event attracted more young families thanks to improved branding and media on the event page.
