Yahoo Installs Bloom Energy at Sunnyvale Headquarters

Yahoo, a global tech company, sought a highly reliable alternative energy solution to reduce its dependence on the traditional power grid and lower the environmental impact of its operations at its Sunnyvale headquarters. The company partnered with Bloom Energy to address this challenge with their fuel cell technology.

Bloom Energy implemented a five-module 1 MW fuel cell installation at the Yahoo campus. This project produces one-third of the campus's electricity on-site, significantly contributing to Yahoo's goal of sourcing half of its annual HQ power needs through on-site generation. The solution successfully met Yahoo's financial and environmental objectives.
