Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP) Installs Johnson & Johnson’s First Bloom Energy Project

Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), a division of Johnson & Johnson, sought to reduce its carbon footprint and improve the resiliency of its medical device manufacturing facility in Irvine, CA. Their challenge was to find an energy solution that met both their sustainability goals and strict financial criteria. They partnered with Bloom Energy to install its Energy Servers.

Bloom Energy implemented a 500 kW system with uninterruptible power modules to provide reliable, clean power. The solution supplies 25% of the facility's daily energy, reduces CO2 emissions by 22%, and is projected to generate $10 million in savings over 20 years. Bloom Energy’s installation also significantly improved the site's energy security and reliability.
