NHS Fife, one of the fourteen NHS regions in Scotland serving around 10,000 employees, needed a better way to communicate with busy healthcare workers. With a dated intranet and basic email, internal communication was inefficient and hard to engage with, especially as Covid-19 created an urgent need to share critical updates quickly. Blink provided an app-based communication solution to deliver instant, on-the-go access to information.

Blink carried out an accelerated rollout to all 10,000 employees in less than three weeks after executive sign-off, helping NHS Fife rapidly distribute pandemic updates and support frontline staff. The platform also began replacing the old intranet with a “super-app” approach, including document migration, micro apps, forms, and Single Sign-On access. Results included 8,000 active users, 81% monthly active users, 4,857 key documents stored in Blink’s Hub, and the CE daily newsletter sent through Blink.
