Case Study: Alarmstudio achieves discreet, reliable luxury property security with Blickfeld QbProtect LiDAR

Alarmstudio secures luxury property with 15 Blickfeld QbProtect LiDAR sensors

Alarmstudio, a security company, faced the challenge of securing a luxury property with an open perimeter to a forest. They needed a robust, discreet solution that could reliably detect human intruders in all weather conditions while reducing false alarms from wildlife and preserving the property owner's privacy. Their previous system using cameras and 2D LiDAR sensors was inadequate.

Blickfeld addressed this by installing fifteen of their weatherproof QbProtect 3D LiDAR sensors around the property. The sensors' perception software defined security zones and used size parameters to distinguish intruders from animals and vegetation, which significantly reduced false alarms. The solution provided reliable, real-time intruder detection that integrated seamlessly with the existing security system while maintaining a discreet appearance and fully protecting privacy.
