The New York City Department of Education, the largest school system in the U.S., faced a complex and tedious paper-based process for public school admissions and enrollment. Blenderbox was tasked with re-envisioning this system to create a suite of accessible online applications for families, school administrators, and DOE staff.

Blenderbox designed and built the MySchools NYC platform, a WCAG 2.1 AA+ compliant suite of three web applications. The solution digitized the entire process, bringing clarity for families through interactive checklists and dynamic information, while providing admins with powerful back-end tools for long-term flexibility and oversight. The vendor's work resulted in a modern, streamlined experience that eased the burden on families, allowed guidance counselors to spend less time on data entry, and provided the Office of Student Enrollment with unprecedented reporting and customization capabilities.
