Center for Justice Innovation launches an hour-long accessible e-learning course with Blenderbox

The Center for Justice Innovation engaged Blenderbox to transition an in-person community service course into a digital e-learning solution. The challenge was to create a meaningful online experience for individuals who receive a civil summons in NYC and cannot or choose not to pay their fine, allowing them to fulfill their obligation more conveniently.

Blenderbox designed and developed a multi-language, accessible e-learning course using Articulate Storyline 360. The solution incorporated interactive features like conversational interfaces, motion graphics, and quizzes based on principles of procedural justice. User testing showed a strong preference for the new digital experience. The final product, deployed citywide, lessened the financial and administrative burden on the city and successfully engaged citizens on issues of civil justice.
