Nashville International Airport powers 40 minutes of CGI airport content with Blender

The Nashville International Airport faced the challenge of creating an engaging, large-scale multimedia installation for its new Grand Lobby. The project needed to interact with a growing flow of passengers, celebrate the city's rich legacy, and occupy a massive space without distracting from essential flight information. The airport engaged multimedia studio Gentilhomme, which utilized Blender and its innovative Geometry Nodes to develop the solution.

Gentilhomme implemented a solution using Blender to produce over 40 minutes of video content, including six fully CGI capsules. The team leveraged Blender's capabilities for motion graphics, simulations, and 3D animation, and its ability to seamlessly integrate assets from other software like Houdini. This work became the cornerstone of the airport's vision to maintain its status as a world-class facility, designed to accommodate a record-breaking 23 million annual passengers.
