How Permeance Used CA BlazeMeter to Conduct its Largest Load Test in Australia

Permeance Technologies is an Australian ICT project and consulting provider specializing in digital citizen engagement and end-to-end testing services. In 2016 they were engaged to validate a new website facing highly unpredictable traffic patterns, with requirements to prove it could handle 100,000 concurrent users, 15,000 hits/second and 60 million visitors over a 12‑hour period, including sudden massive spikes.

Permeance developed comprehensive JMeter scenarios and used CA BlazeMeter to execute and record scaled load tests—eventually ramping to 200,000 concurrent users, the largest BlazeMeter test run in Australia to date—simulating realistic user journeys. They delivered performance and security recommendations, retested the production site after fixes, and completed successful larger tests so the site could be launched on schedule, with BlazeMeter dashboards providing reliable reporting throughout.
