How Bracket Computing Increased Throughput x10 by Load Testing and Continuous Integration

Bracket Computing is a security-software company that helps enterprises run their most sensitive cloud workloads safely without sacrificing agility. Facing customers that can spin up tens of thousands of instances (each requesting decryption keys) at once, Bracket needed to verify that its system could handle extreme, real-world loads reliably.

Bracket used CA BlazeMeter to simulate tens of thousands of customer instances and run nightly performance tests through Taurus and Jenkins, sharing rich, visualized reports with the team. Continuous testing revealed two bottlenecks — database concurrency issues and high CPU use from TLS termination — which they fixed, improving scalability, achieving a reported 10x throughput increase, and cutting baseline CPU cores by more than half to significantly reduce AWS costs.
