Pluralsight Streamlines Its End-Of-Month Reconciliation Process

Pluralsight is a subscription-based online learning company offering thousands of technology courses to millions of users worldwide. Rapid growth created heavier accounting workloads and highlighted the need for a scalable, cloud-based general ledger and an automated, more visible end-of-month reconciliation process.

Pluralsight implemented NetSuite for core accounting and revenue recognition and BlackLine to manage reconciliations; the two integrate via API so GL balances flow automatically and preparers are alerted to post-reconciliation changes. The combined solution shortened month-end close from 12–15 to 10 business days, enabled concurrent preparation and review, provided dashboard visibility for stakeholders, and established standardized controls and a central repository to support compliance.
