Flick Anticimex, one of the largest pest control companies globally and a top-two provider in Australia, operates 40 branches across Australia and New Zealand and serves over 1.2 million customers. Its decentralized model created accounting pain points: more than 800 reconciliations across four entities were managed with spreadsheets, causing errors, inconsistent templates, poor visibility, and weak segregation of duties, with an urgent need to complete reconciliations by day seven of month-end.
Flick Anticimex deployed BlackLine Account Reconciliations (May 2019) and Transaction Matching (2020) with implementation partner Forpoint to automate and standardize the process. The solution delivered real-time visibility for finance and auditors, eliminated date/amount/formula errors, strengthened controls and segregation of duties, and reduced reconciliation time by 56% (from about 2.5 weeks to 1.5 weeks), allowing the team to focus on analysis and strategy.
