A Blackline Safety Case Study
Northern Ireland Water, the sole provider of water and sewage services in Northern Ireland, needed a better way to protect its frontline teams from hazardous gases and lone worker risks. Its existing portable gas monitors did not provide real-time readings, had no connectivity, and could not support two-way communication, creating delays in retrieving safety data and gaps in visibility.
Northern Ireland Water selected Blackline Safety’s G7c wearable cloud-connected multi-gas monitors with integrated cellular connectivity and indoor location compatibility. The devices gave the team real-time gas readings, GPS and indoor location visibility, messaging, and a green connectivity light that confirmed workers were connected to the Blackline Safety network, even underground. Northern Ireland Water purchased over 700 G7c devices to help keep more than 500 frontline workers protected and improve real-time communication and safety oversight.
