How Blackline Safety and InfoSignal's integrated Digital Confined Space Management (DCSM) system brings new levels of safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness to industrial worksites

InfoSignal faced mounting safety and efficiency challenges managing confined-space entries (CSE) during shutdowns, turnarounds and outages, where traditional attendant-based monitoring created bottlenecks, high labor costs and increased exposure risk. To address this, InfoSignal partnered with Blackline Safety and integrated Blackline Safety’s G7 EXO portable area gas monitors with InfoSignal’s Digital Confined Space Management (DCSM) system.

Blackline Safety’s G7 EXO streams real-time gas readings into the DCSM platform alongside cameras, access control, ventilation and two-way communications, enabling remote monitoring of many spaces with far fewer operators. The Blackline Safety–InfoSignal solution reduced staffing needs by roughly 80%, improved project-wide CSE efficiency (~5–7%, with one turnaround near 10%), and delivered 15–30% in project cost savings while increasing situational awareness, safety and compliance.
