Case Study: Aboca S.p.A. achieves reliable lone-worker protection in remote farms with Blackline Safety

A Blackline Safety Case Study

Preview of the Aboca Case Study

How Aboca S.p.A. uses Blackline's lone worker solution to overcome communication challenges posed by remote location and protect 1600 farmers

Aboca S.p.A., an Italian healthcare company that grows medicinal plants and produces natural remedies across roughly 1,700 hectares, faced a safety challenge: many cultivation workers operate alone in remote areas with weak or patchy cellular coverage, making traditional mobile check-ins unreliable. To protect those field teams, Aboca sought a dependable lone-worker monitoring solution that would work without consistent cell service.

Working with distributor CSTA, Blackline Safety supplied and deployed Blackline G7 Lone Worker devices and the cloud-hosted Blackline Live portal. The G7s provide SOS latch alerts with GPS location, no-motion and fall detection, and time-based check-in monitoring; CSTA ran a two-week proof period and trained staff on device use and the portal. The rollout now protects some 150 workers across Aboca’s lands, prompted a new lone-worker procedure and improved risk assessments and training, and delivered measurable gains in worker confidence and stakeholder support.
