Balance Internet, a Magento ecommerce development agency, faced the challenge of ensuring optimal performance across the many websites they build and maintain. Blackfire provided a solution that was integrated into Balance Internet's Docker-based development environment and Jenkins CI workflow. This allowed developers to profile code, set performance assertions, and automatically reject code that didn't meet standards. The results were substantial, including one instance where they halved a page load time by eliminating 601 SQL queries and another where they reduced a 3-hour catalog update to just minutes. Blackfire enabled the team to catch issues early, improve site speed dramatically, and provide their clients with measurable improvements in conversion rates.
