Domus Semo Sancus (DSS) is a fintech focused on financial inclusion best known for SafetyNet, an AI-driven platform that performs rapid enhanced due diligence and KYC checks. As DSS commercialized SafetyNet it uncovered a common industry bottleneck: slow, insecure reporting and communication between financial institutions and regulators (e.g., filing Suspicious Activity Reports), which is time-consuming, risks tipping off subjects, and contributes to costly compliance failures.

DSS integrated BlackBerry Spark Communications Services into SafetyNet to add end-to-end encrypted chat, voice, video and secure data transfer via a flexible API — a prototype was working within weeks. The integration streamlines internal and regulator communications (no printing/scanning), reduces compliance risk and potential fines, improves user experience, and is being rolled out to clients with plans to extend the secure communications model to law enforcement and IoT-enabled use cases.
